I bought this originally to make content while I was working from home. I was tired of propping the phone up against my Diet Coke. But I've left my job recently and now I find it's used to doomscroll while I look for another job.

In both cases it worked like a charm. Well worth the $13 I paid for it. There's also something about having the phone facing you and off the desk that feels cleaner. I don't feel as cluttered.

Also, like many, I don't have my ringer on nor vibrate so I need to have awareness of my phone to see any calls or texts coming through. I did use my Apple Watch for this, but I'm kinda not interested in wearing that right now. Feels odd on my wrist. I don't know why.

I bought my phone holder in blue to add a little color to my desk. I've missed the colorful days of the 90s where you could get a translucent purple gameboy. Everything is so dark or beige now. Any chance to lighten things up, I take. The blue is a soft robin's egg that isn't as intense as the Amazon picture makes it out to be.

It also has a great weight and firm base to it. I worry less about my cat accidentally knocking it behind the desk. The lack of a charging connection is an issue but not so much that it's too much trouble. I just run a line from my laptop to it when I need.

Now my little phone companion can rest easy in its nest. If I can make a habit of putting it there every day, I won't have to go looking for it. Worthwhile purchase.
